- Start by looking through the vocabulary, major learning targets, and preview for each module (7.1-7.3). Make sure you have clearly defined all terms and have those items listed in your notes.
- Next, look at each major lesson from modules 7.1-7.3. With your vocab on hand, review the lesson in the most simple form by revisiting the topics. For 7.1: it was natural selection (more specifically the natural selection flow chart - see unit guide or notes). For 7.2: the five fingers of evolution and the Hardy Weinberg video lesson. For 7.3: the note template (ch. 14), the lizard lab, the sexual selection terms, and the geologic timeline assignment.
- If you truly want to master the major concepts, you should try to attempt to create each of the major lessons from memory (while applying them to examples we examined in class).
- Next, use the textbook to review these same concepts (but using a different modality).
- Finally, practice the concepts. Please use the "sample problems" below, the selected textbook end of chapter problems and other day starters or assignments completed this unit.
- Use the PowerPoint to quiz yourself. The resources you should be using to look up answers should be from class materials and textbook.
